I had called IRCC a day before the strike and they said Work Permit under GSS is processing at Edmonton office.
29 March - WP application submitted
30 March - Received biometrics request
3 April - Submitted Biometrics but its still not updated in my file.
The IVR says Background processing.

Medical & biometrics completed on tracker, background check in progress since Aug 03, 2023 & eligibility not started.

June 16th
After a long wait for an update (since July 14th,) on the 26th of Oct my Eligibility and Background Check completed.
I can see CoPR number on my tracker today morning (30th Oct.) Now waiting for PPR which will be received by my representative and be conveyed to me.
So keeping fingers crossed as it’s known to come either on the same
day or in a few days.Any experiences anyone ??
