I got my SA today! BOOYAH!

The last we heard from cic was back in Oct 2013, they asked us to submit police check (again) and we did, we sent it through priority mail via ups. But I haven't heard anything since. Its been about 6 months now and I'm starting to panic. Oh and one more thing, my hubby's medical expired on April 14th 2014, has anybody else been asked to do a reexamination and how long did you guys have to wait to get COPR. Thank you in advance.

That's interesting...I know it's within the 'posted' processing times, but given the speedy reports from the SYD office, have you emailed them to ask what's going on?

One more quick question for everyone here before I officially send this baby off.

Did anyone who is the Sponsor and also the Spouse complete the Schedule A IMM 5669 and Additional Family Information IMM 5406?

I interpret it that I as the Sponsor do not need to complete these but the form and guide says the spouse of principal applicant must complete this form as well for both the IMM 5669 and the IMM 5406.

Any thoughts?

YES. Fill in the IMM5406. It's pretty much unnecessary information that they already know from every other form but they need it!

Yes, I did (twice infact). At first I just received a generic reply from them saying that I should only contact them when there's been a change in personal information. When I messaged them again, they said "Your file is under review with a visa officer. Thank you". And that's all I got. I didn't want to bother them again so I didn't email them since. Any ideas as to what I should do?

Finished the application just in time. Finally have the final police clearance so we are all ready to mail the application.

VISA ISSUED...:
LANDED..........:

So, we know that it is in Sydney being "processed" but we never received a confirmation email to say that it had arrived in Sydney or a new UCI number. My question is... did everyone get that confirmation email upon transfer and a new UCI immediately? I am obsessively checking my emails for any news!

I - sponsor - got an email to say the package was received about a month after we posted it. Then I got a letter in the post to say I passed stage 1. No email for me.

My spouse - applicant - got an email with a new UCI to say they got the package. This had the Sydney info in it. Thats been it so far in our situation. Hope that helps a bit...some people get more or less emails/ post it seems.

Well, don't stress! I didn't hear anything from them either and it turns out they had my email address wrong. Just call and email them using your reference number (not UCI) to make sure everything is on track and they're pretty good at getting back to you. As you can see by my timeline it didn't effect the speed of it getting processed! I think people hold back from contacting them because they think it will slow things down but it doesn't!
