I guess they might be busy alternatively between spouses and parents. One month goes into processing for parent cases and the second to the spouses. As you can note from the trend last month so many applicants heard for the spouse cases where as prior to that month all of them were also complaining...

Just a guess, i think watching parents thread might through some light on my assumptions.

Canada defies trend, attracts more immigrants

Canada, 15th November: Canadian province Manitoba has won power to invite increasing number of immigrants resulting in making itself a hub of Punjabi youth.

And this is primarily due to the fact that while other Western nations seem to be caught in the web of anti-immigrant vibes, Winnipeg(Manitoba) distinguishes itself by being an immigrant-friendly province for the semi-skilled immigrant workers.

Canada happens to be among the few nations with high immigrants per capita and that too, without any fuss.

As per Manitoba’s immigration minister Jennifer Howard, he did expect some backlash when he assumed charged of his present portfolio, however, he feels elated that on the contrary, the common notion among Manitoba natives is to find ways to bring in more immigrants into this Canadian province.

Nearly 600 new immigrants in this province learn that they can look forward to enjoying the right to live, liberty and security in Manitoba.

So, its love and friendly behaviour towards immigrants coming to this Canadian town, admits 34-year-old new immigrant and a procurement professional from Nigeria. Olusegun Daodu stated that Manitoba is indeed true to its license plates saying ‘Friendly Manitoba’ where its difficult to find arrogance towards new immigrants.

Since the 1960s when Canada did two major changes in its immigration system, including creation of a points system that gives preference to highly skilled foreigner workers and abolishing rules that did not allow non-whites into the nation. As a result, Canada has become home to increasing number of minorities hailing from nations like India, China and the Philippines.

The current immigration rules allow Canada to invite almost twice the number of immigrants over its population as compared to the US.

Canada is interested in its growth and development and the nation’s points system helps the Canadians understand that the current number of newcomers allowed into the nation are in accordance with the requirements of the country.

Moreover, in Canada, it can be politically risky to demonstrate against immigration since 20 percent of Canadians happen to be foreign-born and get voting righs and Canada citizenship quite early.

No doubt, Canada does have some sort of complaints against the newcomers for increasing housing costs and congestion especially in towns including Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto. But, that does not take away from Canada its friendly and multicultural title.

sanyrog, your case definitely seems a lot more frustrating =( Why don't you try to contact the MP like some people have done? Maybe they can get you some update on WHERE your file is at least so you can have some piece of mind :|

Hello all,

I am sure that everybody is as frustrated as I am with ND processing speed. I have come here to pour my anger, and sadness at the same time. My wife received PPR on Oct 6 and still has not heard any thing from ND. Our frustration is stemmed from the fact that, with ND holding my wife's passport, she cannot go anywhere. ND's persistent behavior to snub our emails is making us very anxious and worried. We have not slept properly for the last 2 weeks and this is taken a toll on our healths. Our hopelessness to help ourselves in this situation is all the more frustrating and our patience is growing thinner by the day. If any seniors or others have done anything extra to get your visa, please reply, would greatly appreciate.

Cheers and thank you,
Bharath

Guys please help me!

1. It has been almost 2 months since my wife had sent her pp. ECAS status shows " still in process".. how long does it take Approximately?

2. What is the concept of the registered post. My wife works in Bangalore and we have given her parents address for correspondence. Can they receive the PP on my wife's behalf? What if no one is available at home at the time of document delivery? will the local post office send a notification that they tried to deliver a document and no one was available? do we need to follow up with the post office in this case?

Please suggest me guys

look to hear soon

best wishes

Hi everyone, wondering if you can give me some info. Our file was transferred to Delhi on August 18th. Has anyone else got a similar timeline that could weigh in if they have heard anything.

Also, will I be able to see anything on ecas or do we have to wait for the mailed letter to be able to see what is going on on ecas?

Thanks for any feedback!
Hi CanIndian.. Congrats on getting your visa! i m happy for you.. we both share more or less the same time lines. My wife had sent her passport on 21 September. We havent heard anything yet. Did you attend an interview? when did you receive the letter from consulate notifying about the interview requirement? Did you get your visa stamped soon after the interview on the same day? I m just wondering why it is getting delayed in our case.. any input?? thx, V

Hello there ppl we cant do much other than staying positive , I am sure everyones getting close to being next to their loved ones one day at a time. I can see that ND is not really following their regular way of processing anymore , I have a feeling it might have something to do with the new immigration law that took effect in september but everyone is really contemplating something different and I am sure noones paperwork have been lost trust me I was thinking the same way myself . So just hang in there stay positive I have seen some weeks that have been almost no movement and then some where a lot of ppl have heard some good news . Good luck for next tue

Hi,
Have patience...
For me its more than 80 days the ND is having my PP and still it is "IN Process".

The Registered Post is nothing but a post that has to be delivered to Person(whom it belong to) IN Hand. (Its is simply like government courier service). If the person is not available a family member can take it.

The Registered mail will reach anywhere in INDIA in less than 5 days. If it is metro than in 3 days.
Yes Postman will leave a note (a receipt) at ur home if no one is available. They will keep PP for 15 days if no one collects it they will send back to CHC ND.

So once the status is "Decision Made" u can contact ur postman regarding it. :)

Good Luck...
