I CHECKED MY ECAS STATUS TODAY AND I SAW THAT HIS SONS NAME WAS ADDED UNDER #1

SHOULD I BE EXCITED? ARE THEY ON MY FILE NOW? THOUGH, THE APPLICATION STATUS SHOWS "DECISION MADE"



1.We received your application to sponsor HUSBAND on March 10, 2015.

Dependents listed on the application are: HIS SON

2.We started processing your application on April 17, 2015.
3.We sent you correspondence on June 1, 2015 about the decision on your application.


PLEASE HELP!!
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME SEEING HIS SON'S NAME ON THE STATUS. HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS BEFORE AND DOES IT MEAN MY APPLICATION IS BEING LOOKED AT?

it cant be!! India's population alone is 1.2 billion! and my friend's wife was in Canada in 7months (New Delhi VO). apparently the staff at Accra VO are not working hard enough. people have been seeing their vehicles at the Accra mall quite alot shopping! lol

thats a good one, does anyone know how they are doing at the Dakar VO?

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME SEEING HIS SON'S NAME ON THE STATUS. HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS BEFORE AND DOES IT MEAN MY APPLICATION IS BEING LOOKED AT?

You were probably approved to sponsor him. Keep a close eye on your emails now because you can't afford to miss it if they request for his passport. You would have to send in your passport within 15 days after they request it and if you miss those days you would have to reapply again. Best of luck.

Congrats to all those who have received some form of positive news from Accra, my prayer is that they keep the momentum going.

I know of someone here in Canada who was told by CIC to also provide proof of the annulled traditional marriage from their home country before they could proceed with the application. For some reason they did not accept a notorized copy.

@Lamour, when the VO noticed I got all the questions he asked me about my wife(This is a relationship of 4yrs..I should be able to know my wife in and out, right ?.) he said , you know what I think you are a very smart guy and really , I do not have any issue with your relationship because it is obvious, you guys are in a relationship but my concern is your wife didn't include a divorce paper in the application. I told him there is an affidavit and He said that is not acceptable and I told him it was a traditional marriage btw 2 families...It is informal . He turned it to an argument, so i just held my peace and allow him to speak. May God help us out of this situation!.

YES! I WAS APPROVE TO SPONSOR MY HUSBAND IN JUNE. SO IT MEANS GOOD NEWS? YESSSSSS THANKS LOVE!

WHEN AN APPLICATION IS SENT TO AVO, DO THEY SEND A NOTIFICATION LETTER TO ALERT THE SPONSORED PERSON? OR IS UNTIL THEY START WORKING ON THE APPLICATION.

Hello Everyone,

Please stay strong and keep praying..surely your time will come.

A couple of things that I noticed...in 2014 it was way way faster than 2015, this might be because CIC officers change their location to different countries every now and then. So maybe this had an affect on why it slowed down. Also maybe there is a lot more people applying these days. But the most important thing is not to worry about the processing time on the CIC website. This is for worst case scenarios. I also encourage you all to order the GCMS notes. They're really helpful and you can see where you are in the process and if there is any comments being made about your applications. This helps you prepare.

The other thing is that previously, In Process meant that the applicant is done. It seems it changed now and they're changing the status to "In Process" early in the process. In my case I got In process and then I got the PPR a few hours later.

Stay strong and if anyone needs anything then please private message me as I don't come here as often.

I think it's good news. Check you email and junk email to see if there is anything, also check your regular mail, maybe the PPR is there.

If it was a rejection then I'm sure you would've been contacted by now.

I'm sure it's good news if it was a rejection you would have heard from them by now or the same day they interviewed you
