Hi Hasni,
Thanks a lot to share your detailed landing experience.
Finally, you completed the post landing activities smoothly.
Just would like to add that if someone decides to stay in Toronto for landing purpose, Toronto seems to be best option for saving money. e.g. I stayed in Safehomestay (near fairview mall) & Idle-wood inn (Kingston road, Scarborough), the charge is only $60 per day including cooking facility. Or buying (halal) food from nearby restaurant is a best option. Scarborough is also a great place for practising religion (e.g. Big Mosques are here) for all religious ethnicities. And basement rent is $600-700 per month
and 2-bed rooms flats are $900-1100 (depends on TTC vicinity). Also, commuting to Brampton/Mississauga is traffic saving rather than traveling to Toronto for job purpose.
However, wish you all the best. I also remember that I made shortlanding like you in 2012 for 22 days in Tornoto, returned to Dubai & came back after 3 months. Recently noticed that laws are changed regarding required number of years to fulfill the 1095 days
are 4 years which was 5 years in 2012. Also time to get citizenship/passport after PR period is now 24months (minimum). So, 'Na Ghorkha, Na Ghatkha" days are gone and we may need to sacrifice our past golden career. Best of wishes for your Canadian
life and Career.
