Friends,
I applied under category 2121, my application pack reached CIO on 12 May 2011 and only after that i discovered this forum, a lot of useful information, thanks for sharing! I found very informative the file "Immigration Tracker" and I see a lot of people applied under 2121, some have already got confirmation of positive eligibility review (PER). 3 people out of 4 in 2121 category who got their applications rejected indicated the reason as 'Work experience not satisfactory' and one indicated reason simply as 'Job Duties'. I want to communicate with those people, their nick names indicated in excel file as Punjabi2121, dian1, bjay12, yakba, but looks there is no way to contact them unless they see this post and respond.
I feel it is difficult to prove that your duties fit descriptions of HRSDC and I would be very grateful if those who were rejected share what were their duties indicated in application and what were comments from CIC regarding why the immigration officers concluded that their duties ineligible. Additionally if any of you who got positive decision on eligibility can describe shortly their duties that may help to understand if i have chances. My present occupation is 'environmental advisor', i do research on environmental impacts of my company activities over plants, reptiles, invertebrates and in phytoplankton, these are actually duties of ecologist which is in list of eligible occupations within 2121 category. My doubts are what CIO or visa office immigration officers exactly looking for? it appears to me that they approve only those candidates who are in core of science of biology and botanics, employed in research institutes but reject applicants who are in different industries and do basic research compared to those involved in hard-core sophisticated research job. If you have any experience of applying under NOC 2121 please share your vision regarding my situation.
