Hi everybody!

Have been living in Toronto for 15 moths now and I am slowly preparing for the citizenship test. For quite some time, I have been reading troublesome news about the Canada's citizenship test becoming too hard Obviously the failure rate has become almost 15%! That's quite an alarming number for me.

So anybody who has passed the test during these two previous years - how hard was it? What should I concentrate on?

Thanks a lot!

I have never seen the test, but a friend's husband who recently did it, said that he was given a booklet and all the questions were found in it. Sorry to be so vague, but hope you know which booklet this is. He is a bright fellow and has no issues with English, said he had no problems.

My husband passed the test two years ago. I helped him study the booklet.. The test was all multiple choice and you should know the current prime minister, the province and capital that you live in as well as the year your province became part of Canada, maybe the first and last province to join Canada and the date when Canada was complete. If you read the book like 5 times you should be ok. My husband only got one question wrong. Good luck!

I recently read an article that stated it was getting so hard that 53% of born and raised Canadians couldn't even pass it... I can't find the link now... but they changed the test 2 years ago made it harder... but they are saying the increase in failure is due to not understanding English or French... here's a couple sample questions I did come across... but I'm sure with studying and understanding the language...
