HELLO everyone... ;D

Hope everyone is doing well...

After reading this you might think of me as the dumbest female alive on earth ... ::)but I am gonna post the most basic question anyway....of which I know about but can neva seem to understand clearly...

Ques: What on earth is an inland...vs an outland application...????!!

I am a PR holder in canada... been away from my husband for a year and a half since marriage and for seemingly stupid but important enough reasons (which will b a sob story for another post) I have not yet done his spousal sponsorship app.
Now, in context to my situation....what would an inland application and outland application be?

If I apply for him while I am in canada and he there...thats inland?
AND...
If I go to see him in india and we apply for his PR sponsorship there....thats outland?...can I even do that...not being a citizen and all, and just on PR?
What are the pros and cons of each?

I have more questions but I guess I am gonna split the posts up .....

thank you for ur patience and time u took to read and reply...

Peace to all!

Inland if your spouse is in Canada, outland if he's abroad.

So in your case, it is OUTLAND.

As a PR you are not allowed to stay in other country while the app is in process. Short visits are permitted tho.

Though Iay has answered your queries.. just few pointers to add.

your husband is in India(i guess) so you can apply for Outland.
being a citizen/pr you are allowed in both cases to sponsor your husband, your family.
though Canadian PR is not allowed to leave country but few short trips are allowed.
applying outland (right now) processing time for India is (i guess) 10 months.
IF he is called for interview, his interview will be in New Delhi.
Pros for Outland application is IF rejected you can appeal but in Inland you cannot.
Cons for Outland application, there is Less chance IF your husband applies for TRV and he gets its as your info would be already in their system and applying , they can think PA having double intent)

attach as many proofs as you can so they your case seems very strong and there is no need for interview (which eventually saves times).
when you are done with your application send in to Mississauga and write on the application VO as New Delhi

being a PR you have to apply for your husband's application, you have to be in Canada ( i mean when you send in the application)
(ps. i am not exactly sure about the last point i told you, may be someone else can correct but the other points, i m very sure about those)
goodluck

if any other question post here :)

The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked. ;D Besides better to ask here on the forum with the possibility of feeling silly rather then make a mistake in your application. :o
