They Called for an interview ,, They Called again to Cancel it

my app processed in 10 jan 2013. on march the 4th 2013 they emailed ,, and asked me to come on 3th of april to pick up my PPR and watch a 50 min video about life in Canada , i sent them back an email asking them if there is a chance i can send my passport ,, because am already in CANADA on study visa ,, saving loads of money and time to go all the way there ,, they emailed back tht they can't but they can reschedule my appointment ,, i decided to go on 3th of april anyway ,, and just before i click on purchase the airline ticket ,got another email from them " we canaceled your 3th april appointment and we will contact you as soon we finalize your file " .. WHATTTT ,, is it suppose to be finalized already if you asked to come and pick PPR ,, i don't understand ,, now am waiting ,, in my ECAS ,,it shows in process ,, still waiting ,, i googled it ,, it never hapened to anybody before that immigration CANCELED THEIR OWN APPOINTMENT FOR NO GIVEN REASON

ANY THOUGHTS MAY HELP ME BEFORE I GO BANANAS :'(

Hey,

I know it's hard, but - wait until you hear back from them. Maybe they have cancelled the appointment because they realised that you being in Canada is not the easiest to come and see the video and get your visa, so maybe they're trying to see if there is another solution.
It's a special case, as a lot of non-visa-exempt applicants are waiting in their own country, and thus can go to the appointment, or can send the passport by post... so wait until they give you further instructions - if your file is almost finalized, you should hear back from them really soon.
