3 of my friends (non SDS) applied on 18th and 13th March received their medical request today on August 4. There review of eligibility was started on July 30(paper application). While the online application submitted on March 3rd and on February the review of eligibility has not yet started. Our concerned office is new Delhi, india.
They are only processing paper application submitted before March 20.

Where did they apply from? India? I’m sure Applications submitted in May June are heading for a long wait then

Yeah they should be processing online and paper side by side does that mean our file will remain pending till all the paper application are sorted out?
It's the opposite here in Kenya. 5 of my friends that applied online in June, July and March have recently gotten medical requests. However those that applied in Jan, Feb and early March, myself included, have not gotten any update for our paper applications. Who knows what the visa officers are thinking?!!
it's kinda unfair paper and Online should be processed side by side. January online applicant are pending but March paper applicant have already got their visa approved.
It truly is unfair, it's supposed to be equal opportunity processing time for all applicants regardless of whether they applied via the online or paper route. It's almost as if they're processing applications backwards... processing backwards from July until Jan 2020. It's as if they've never heard of the 'first-come-first-serve' basis.
