The waiting time after PR payment has been made

My application is a "outbound application" Canadian citizen sponsoring sri Lankan spouse. everything has gone smooth as we hoped. once the application got to sri Lanka they had requested my wife to send in another police report since birth and the request for the payment as well. so now we have handed in all the information with the payment we received a letter from Canadian immigration saying that they received the payment. Now we are waiting. i just want to know if anyone knows how long it takes for them to issue the Visa. ;D

I paid two months ago and there is no news, in same office as mine, there are different person who paid 5 months ago but no news until now too.

on th other hand there are people paid and after month or two got their passport request so all depends on your luck .

hi gayan i also applied for family class sponsorship..for my husband.......who is in srilanka....it's only been 3weeks since i applied still waiting 4 cic-m. to approve me.......i am happy that i see that someone is sponsoring their spouse from srilanka i am not alone i am really excited....i remember when my brother sponsored his wife it only took....applied in sept 2008--file transfered to colombo oct 21---visa given on december 15 2008 it was so quick 4 him they were lucky..how long it took the cic.m.. to reply 4 u if u don't mind...
