The US Visit from Canada, on Valid Canada Visa and Work Permit

Hi All,

I am planning to visit the US(New Jersey), along with my spouse on a leisure trip.
I am holding a valid Canada Visa and Work Permit, both ending 2016 end.
My spouse has dependent/visitor visa. I noticed a message on visitor visa as "THIS DOES NOT AUTHORIZE RE-ENTRY". What does it mean, Canada Dependent/Visitor holder can't re-enter after the US visit?
Pls let me know the procedure from Canada Work Permit and Dependent/Visitor Visa standpoint like documentation, paper work and precautionary measures.

Note: Planning to go by road.

I also hold a valid B1/B2 business US Visa, expiring in 2020.
