To applicants who submitted supporting documents to BUffalo New York:

To start, I sent my FSW application to Sydney NS Canada and was recommended for further assessment. Now, I am ready to submit my documents to Buffalo New York visa office.

My question is, on #13 of the Buffalo New York Visa office says "Fee payment" . Should I include the bank draft of $490 CAD (Permanent Residence Fee) with the documents? or is the payment will be requested at a later part (probably together with the request of medical)?

Please shed some light....

thank you

Later when they ask you to do so

Thanks for your reply. So are you saying that when you submitted your documents to Buffalo, you did not include the PR Fee? When did they requested you to submit PR Fee?

"The Right of Permanent Residence Fee, will be requested by the Visa Office at a later stage if your application is approved"

The source : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EG7.pdf (page 36)

"If you are applying in the Federal Skilled Worker category the only fee you will be required to pay in Buffalo will be the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF). This fee will be requested at the appropriate time".

(At the end of the page)

"Should I send the fee to the CIO as well?

Send your processing fee to the CIO, but do not submit the Right of Permanent Residence fee until it has been requested by the Visa Office."

(question number 4)

Thank you. But why would they include that in the visa office checklist? Have you submitted your supporting docs at Buffalo and heard from them again?

The checklist is not updated in respect to that item because as you know in the past there was no need or instructions to send the application to the centralized intake office, it is relatively a new procedure the case was in the past to send your application directly to the visa office which serves your country of residence or nationality. however, if you send the right of permanent residence early , it will not cause any problem to your application but it is not required at this time.

For me am still waiting for my AOR letter from the CIO i have just applied less than two weeks ago, but i will not send the right of permenant residence to buffalo until they ask me to do so
