I currently hold a work permit under IEC and it expires on the 6th of march. I have applied for an extension of stay as a visitor as i plan to stay for a couple more months. In the meanwhile, can I visit the US and be allowed to re-enter Canada? My WP says 'does not authorize re-entry' but people on this forum claim as long as I visit strictly just the US I should be fine re-entering provided i do it before the 6th of march.
would it be safe to travel late feb/early march for a couple of days? or should i wait until i hear back from CIC in regards to my visitor visa application?
i hold a Lithuanian biometric passport, so i;m an EU citizen so generally visa exempt for entering Canada.
