I am and American looking to live in Canada for a few years (maybe longer). I hold a Unversity Degree (Bachelor's) and find that my current occupation does not really fall under any of the 38 qualifying occupations list. Is this a lost cause?? Should I not even apply? Let me know. Your honest answers are much appreciated!! Thank you!

You should try to find ANY experience that you had in the last 10 years, even if not related to your degree or current occupation. For example, if you were a restaurant manager, that helps!
You can also go in the different Province's website and apply with the Province that needs your skilled job, intead of applying for the Federal.

Keep in mind that you may qualify to work in Canada under NAFTA if you are a US citizen.
