The new changes to the eligibility conditions

Hi all,

Today I saw that the eligibility condition for applying as a skilled worker is changed.
They have removed the following condition:
* have been legally residing in Canada for at least one year as a temporary foreign worker or an international student

Does it mean that from now on, no student or foreign worker can apply as a skilled worker?!!! ???

No, read the requirements for FSW2 if you have an AEO or the Canadian Experience Class where you need to have either 2 years skilled work in Canada or Graduate In Canada and have 1 years skilled work in Canada. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp

Hi,

You are right. But students could apply after studying for one year. And now it became graduation plus 1 year work experience.


It does not make any sense.
