"THE LMO AND THE JOB CONTRACT I RECEIVED FROM MY AGENT" IS IT REAL OR FAKE

DEAR FELLOWS:

MY TFW application and all the supporting documents are completed and my agent is ready to file my application to embassy. I have delayed the submission due to some concerns of mine which are as follows:

1-THE LMO AND THE JOB CONTRACT I RECEIVED FROM MY AGENT" IS IT REAL OR FAKE? How can we check BOTH papers authenticity that they are the GENUINE DOCS ISSUED BY CIC AND HRSDC. I am talking about the Soft copies of the original documents.

2-According to CIC website, being National of PAKISTAN, i should apply my case from ISLAMABD Canadian embassy. BUT my agent says that you have to send your application of TFW Work permit to LONDON canadian high commission.

3-In supporting documents, Agent has not placed any of my bank statements or any other financial documents. (salary slips, personal bank statements, property paper on my name etc). REST OF ALL DOCS IN THE CHECK LIST ARE ALONG THE APPLICATION.

The LMO document, if authentic, would be issued by HRSDC/Service Canada. The job contract should have been prepared and signed by your future employer. The work permit will be issued by CIC. If your agent told you that CIC provided either the LMO or contract, he's misleading you.

The only way to verify if the LMO is genuine is to contact HRSDC or CIC, but they may not reply very quickly. Nonetheless, you should try.

You could also try to contact the employer based on the given address/telephone number to verify that the contract is genuine.

Q2 - you’re right and the agent is wrong. The work permit application should go to Islamabad.

Q3 – only the agent can tell you why he did this. If the financial documents you mentioned are required, then why withhold them?

It looks like your agent isn’t giving you the best advice. Why don’t you proceed on your own at this point? All the information you need for this process is available on the internet.

WHAT CHC WILL ISSUE A RECEIPT OR A NO. REFFERING THE APPLICATION ?

Once the visa office reviews your work permit application (taking into consideration factors such as your qualifications for the job, the likelihood you will leave Canada at the expiry of your permit, etc.), then they will inform you whether you've been approved or not. The current average processing time in Islamabad is 9 months (yikes).

I'm afraid I don't know if the visa office will send you a confirmation of receipt. (I believe the term AOR or acknowledgement of receipt is used for PR applications but I could be wrong...) If you send the application via courier, you can have it tracked and will know when it was delivered.

Yes, this is for sure 9 months as mention on the website for ISLAMABD CHC , Hoped to be reduced as after May/13 they are going to make some good changes. Finger crossed
