The border officer has'nt updated my profile as landed after 8 weeks - no card

I had done my landing on April 24th 2012 at Niagara falls got my passport stamped and got the PR confirmation and I was told it takes 6-8 weeks for the PR card so I patiently waited for it till today.

I called the CIC office to check on the status and they to my surprise I was told the PR card was not mailed since there was no record of my landing and my file was not updated to a PR status, I was like this is crazy I did my landing and got my PR confirmation and how can there not be a record of my landing.

So the lady on the phone bluntly told that all she can do is send a message to the border officer and it would take another 30 days to hear from them and then they would process the PR card and mail it.. I find this BS I already waited for 8 weeks.

Any one in my situation and what else can I do?

There is not much you can do but wait..you are a pr regardless and the card will arrive.

I guess so, can I apply for a US visa with just a confirmation and travel to the US?

did you get your permanent SIN number and health card with the CoPR?

I am curious how those things were approved if there is no record of landing?

Also what do you seen in your ecas now....or saw after lainding?

If you have the immigrant visa in your passport, after landing you can get the SIN and health card right away. Those from visa exempt countries(e.g. US) have to wait for the pr card first.

Ecas does not work after you have 'landed'.
