The application fee has been updated!

Just noted that the application fee has been updated from $200 to $400, which does not bother me. However, what I'm concerned is that when the bill C-24 becomes law. The proposed increase of fee was included in C-24, which has become true. Does it mean the new law will be announced next Monday, i.e., Feb 10???

The minister stated in CBC that the fee hike is in effect immediately. The fee was increased to $300, but now I see $400 in the site. Quite preposterous. Anyway, its their call, they name the price and we pay it.

Hi, thanks for the explanation, which makes me feel better as I'm going to get the 1095 soon and don't want to wait for another year. The fee is 300+100, processing fee and right of citizenship fee, respectively.
