Is the 48 hours still in force to apply for a passport after the Oath? or someone can apply the same/next day? as I read somewhere that you can apply immediately these days and a friend needs to go to the US right after the oath
if they tells you during the oath YES you have to wait 2 business day. its simple because they need time to update their systemMichels said:Is the 48 hours still in force to apply for a passport after the Oath? or someone can apply the same/next day? as I read somewhere that you can apply immediately these days and a friend needs to go to the US right after the oath

There was a post from one person (can't remember who) who had to travel soon after oath. They said they talked to the CIC staff at check in for the oath and they were able to put a rush on it so the applicant applied after 24 hours.Michels said:I see, then it is still in force.
Thank you

Advise your friend to talk to the CIC staff at check in to ask if there's anyway to rush things due to whatever important business your friend needs to attend to.
