Hello everyone,
Hope you're all well.
In case many hadn't yet heard, I just wanted to take the opportunity to lead a tribute to the man who is the reason we are all here: one Mr. David Cohen. It is with a profound sense of sadness that I learned that Mr. Cohen sadly lost his battle with cancer earlier today.
Like I'm sure so many of you, David was the man who inspired me to move to Canada. Simply put, he was not only one of the best lawyers in the world but also, one of the most inspiring people I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with in my whole life.
Via the CanadaVisa website and their bi-weekly newsletters; the information, knowledge and strategy I have been able to nurture and implement with respect to my own Canadian immigration aspirations and ambitions has proved invaluable. I just got the sense that here was a man who understood the value of each and every person's potential to change the world. And, who genuinely wanted to help them realize this to their fullest.
David first contacted me on Dec1st 2019, when I was still in my early phases of forming the Canada relocation/immigration plan. For one reason or another, namely due to my not yet having the required documents in place (esp. a copy of my film school degree) I never replied, though what a shame, as I'm sure David would have been such a help for my quite complex immigration case.
Fast forward to now and I can say with certainty that I will be in Canada in the next few years and, my immigration plans are progressing in earnest. One thing that I can safely say is that the groundwork and prep for this plan, which is now nearing its completion, simply would not have been possible had it not been for the work and inspiration of Mr. David Cohen. In short, I just owe the man everything with respect to my Canada plan. I am very sad he's gone.
Thank you David for inspiring a generation to come to your wonderful country. You are a legend and we will miss you.
