Test duration

Hello
Me and my family have the citizenship test on the 15th at 1 pm. I have to travel by 6 pm which is also very important on that same date.
My question is, if my test starts at 1 pm, what would the estimate time be for us to be done?
Is it also true that we have to reach the test location 2-3 hours earlier?

You don't have to get there earlier than when the test starts, although it is recommendable. I arrived in 30 min before test.

First they check everyone's passports and whatever documents were needed. It took about an hour. Then the test began and it takes max 30 minutes. So I would say that from the official time of the test beginning to when you get out, count at least 1.5 to 2 hours.

I arrived at 10:15. (The letter said to arrive at 10:30). The exam started at 11:16. It was over in 30 minutes. If you have the oath ceremony the same day, you'll be asked to wait 5 or 10 minutes to see if you passed, then you are dismissed. If you don't have it the same day, you can probably leave as soon as the test is over. Different offices do it differently, so your best bet is to see if anyone on the forum has used the particular office you are using. I think 1.5-2 hours is a good bet.

So basically what I assume is on both cases (whether the oath ceremony is the same day OR not the same day) I can reach the airport at 6pm If I have my test at 1 pm.
The test place is Scarborough

And If I am not wrong, I can be gone for a week or so after the test? Then return back. Thank you

I have not heard that they do it same day in Scarborough. If your test is at 1pm, then I doubt the oath ceremony is the same day, because it usually starts 3 hours afterwards. When its not the same day, the waiting period after the test (before the ceremony) is 1-2 months, so being gone for a week will not be a problem.
