Does anyone know if one turns 55 early next year, whether that means the citizenship test is not required? I ask as the applicant was 54 when the citizenship application was lodged but at the current rate of testing, will likely be 55 when they receive an invite to the test. Thank you in advance.

It's based on when the application is submitted. They will still have to take the test. See:
