Hi, I came here as Temprary Worker, Oct. 2019, I met someone and hanging out with him, then I got pregnant in my 3 mos of working, I talked to my employer and they have no problem with that they let me continue to work until i reach 7 mos but due to h8gh risk pregnancy because of hypertension i was forced to take a leave early . I filled EI on August and converted to maternity leave . I have given birth to my baby boy last Oct. 14 2020 and I am still maternity leave until October 14 and at the same time my work permit will expire in Oct. 17, 2021. I was planning to back to work last April 2021, but due to Covid my employer decided not to take me back and work with them again because of financial problem and they said that the kids already grown up so it's not necessary for the them to have a full time Nanny.

My questions are,
1. will I be able to apply for PR even if I worked only 8 mos with them?
2. Can I include the hours of my maternity leave and EI to apply PR?
3. Will I be able to extend my work permit?
4. Should I need to find another sponsor to do another LMIA?
5. I only have less than 2 mos before my work permit expires , if i cannot find a new employer are tge immigration will send me bavk to Philippines?
6. My partner is Canadian, but he is on disability penssion and has an ongoing divorce, will he be able to sponsor me

My baby is already 10.mos old and I don't want to leave him and go back to Philippines. I want to stay here for my baby and work. Please give me answer and advise. Thank yoi so much in advance I will truelly appreciate your help from the botoom of my heart. God bless and for power to you .

Yours truly, Maria

Don’t believe you qualify for any PR program if you have only worked 8 months. Maternity leave does not count as work hours. You would need to find a new employer, they’ll need to apply for an LMIA and you’ll need to apply for a WP if you find a new employer. That will take many months. If you have been living with your partner for over a year he can attempt to sponsor you although if he is on disability there may be concerns about his ability to support a family especially if he has other children.

Have you lived with your Canadian partner continuously for at least one full year and can you prove it?

Thank you souch for kmmediate reply that gives me.more clarification. One morr question, hope you won't mind. Can NOC 4411 switch to another Noc code like 4412 ?

You can attempt to get a job in any NOC. You will need to find an employer willing to pay to attempt to get an LMIA. Finding an employer with an LMIA willing to hire you will be pretty difficult by October. You need to change your status to visitor before your WP expires if you have not applied for PR or a WP before then.
