We have a need to send workers from China to Canada for a mining project. Can the company that awarded us the project submit an LMO and provide an offer letter? We don't have a branch in Canada. Can we have some form of agreement with that company regarding the supply of labor and the wages?

Any information regarding this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Um... can I ask, why would you expect to bring workers from China when you could hire Canadians?

also asks the same question as jes_on....why not hire Canadians????

From what I read, the mining industry has numerous employees looking for jobs. I doubt you would get a positive LMO for your Chinese workers right now. But who knows.....both CIC and Service Canada move in mysterious ways.
