Hello,

My temporary work visa was recently rejected on August the 2nd for the following reason

Thank you for your interest in working in Canada. After having carefully reviewed your work permit application and supporting documents under the
Temporary Foreign Worker Program, I conclude that your application does not satisfy the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and its Regulations. I reject your request for the following reasons:

• You have not been able to demonstrate that you adequately meet the requirements of the job you are considering.

You can reapply if you feel you can meet these concerns and demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. In this case, you
will have to pay the processing fee again.

I'm not sure what the following step would be, if to update my resume and work certificates demonstrating that I am able to meet those requirements. I'm just stunned as someone else in my group that has my same or less experience was approved for the same position. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

So what did you show? What NOC? Did you show employment letters (not resume) to prove your skills match the NOC?

Sorry,
NOC 9422 Plastics processing machine operators
This was done via an agency that connects foreign workers with a Canadian employer, This specific job I did not do, but have worked in previous jobs related to operating machines, wood and manual labor. As we are 8 individuals applying for the same position and hired for the same company, we kind of have the same experience. Some not even close to related, and they were approved. In regards, to what did I provide, employment letters the instructions provided by the agency.

So you don’t have experience in the NOC. Officer wants to see that you can do the job. You need to show employment letters to match the NOC. What do you mean “we kind of have the same experience.” You either have the experience or not. Maybe some people had at least one letter that supported the NOC.

You are right! I think that's the best way to approach. I was just stunned by the response and confused -will talk to the employer and gather all my employment letters and reapply, hopefully! if everything meets the requirement. Thank you for stopping my thoughts that are running all over the place.!

Did you not submit your past employment letters that match the NOC in your application? Those reference letters are the most important part of your application.
