Temporary Work Permit PNP

Hi There,

Looking to see if anybody has any insight into my situation. I have a lawyer but he doesn't know either, and he is actually the reason I am in this mess!

I applied for Ontario PNP and was approved in February 2016 to be processed through the old paper system - not express entry. Which will take over 18 months or so!

The reason i did the PNP was my lawyer said I only had 340 points for EE. However, as more people i knew were scoring high points on their EE profiles I counted my points again, what do you know i scored 526! This was in January before i got approved for PNP so I applied for EE and was accepted in the first draw. I have since filed my full application for residency through EE.

My question is this; My current work permit expires next month, by which time I am unlikely to have my residency. However, as I was approved for PNP I am entitled to a temporary work permit while my residency is being processed. Although I will not now be applying for residency using the PNP, I would still like to use the temporary work permit. So my question is can I or will there be any issues at the border?

Thanks,

DJ

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR MESS.

IF I WERE YOU I WOULD DO THE FOLLOWINGS:

1. GO TO ANY BORDER WITH THE AOR(EE), PNP CERTIFICATE, JOB OFFER, CURRENT WP AND ALL OTHER REQUIRED DOCS TO GET A BOWP. (BRIDGE WORK PERMIT). GOOGLE FOR MORE INFO.

2. APPLY UNDER THE PNP PR AS WELL SINCE EE REJECTION RATE IS PRETTY HIGH. (PLAN B)

3. FIRE THE LAWYER ASAP.

GOOD LUCK.
