Temporary Work Permit application with a permanent job offer

Hello friends

I am completing my work permit application and I'm having some trouble. My job offer is permanent and the LMIA was issued to support both a work permit and PR application, however, I am not sure what to write for duration of employment. What do I put for the end date that will allow the computer to validate my form? If anyone has any experience with this I'd appreciate it.

The HR advised my husband to put 3 years. Actually in the duration date its Dec 2014 - Dec 2017 even though we do not have yet the work permit. Maybe the HR wants to expedite the work permit process that's why she advise start date is Dec 2014. We re-applied work permit last 16 Dec 2014 up to now still no update
