Hi,
I currently have an Outland Family Class Sponsorship application in process (applied back in April, with a decision made for sponsorship, now the permanent resident portion is in process, which also started back in May), and my wife has been on a visitor visa since April 30, 2015. We applied for extension of stay back in July and just got a approved for an extension today. We were ignorant about the fact that you could stay under implied status, so she already has arrangements to go back and be with her Mother, as her Mother misses her quite a bit, since she has been gone from home for 6 months. She has decided to leave Canada to visit her Mother even though the extension has been approved. The actual document has been mailed to my address here in Canada and won't arrive for approximately 6 weeks, I know that the extension of stay will probably be nulled once she leaves Canada, but I was wondering if it might not be, since the document hasn't actually arrived at my house yet.
Also, if it will be nulled, do you think she'll have a possibility of getting past the border if she tells her story as well as presents the letter that she was approved for extended stay, if she came back 2-3 weeks from now? Also, would this affect my Family Class Sponsorship application in any way?
Thanks,
