Temporary Visitor visa application process and processing time

Hi

I applied for my Canada Visa (using Gc key) using this link: cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/apply_online.asp as I need to travel to meet my friend just for a weekend.
I am currently on H1b visa in US. I havesubmitted the application online. Not sure what to do next? Do I have to submit any documents? or just sit tight and wait?

just make sure after submitting your application and payment, you received the confirmation letter in your myCIC account. You will receive an email notification every time a new message and update is made in your application. So, no need to open myCIC if no email is received. Basically, it's a waiting game for now...you may also check the processing time where you have submitted your application to give you an estimate on how long the process will take...

I was earlier planning to travel around early June. Not sure if it is possible considering processing time for the application. Is there a way to put the application under premium processing? (My friend is going to be in Canada only till mid June.. )

It is as long as you have a valid reason. "My friend is going to be in Canada only till mid June" is not a valid reason.

What would be your reason?
