help answering the following questions will be greatly appreciated. I am so stressed and heartbroken about the situation.

I am a resident of trinidad&tobago. I met my wife late last year in trinidad and when she returned earlier this year we got married and we are expecting a baby boy. My wife is a citizen of canada and she wants her mom to be there for her during her preganancy.other than that the mortality rate of infants in my country is high so that is very concerning. Therefore, we made a decision for her to go back to Canada and I would apply for my visa knowing that when i got through after the baby was born we would be back in Trinidad. My visa application was denied so we are in quite a dismal situation. All i think about every second of the day is being together with my wife leading up to the birth of our baby boy:( . our baby is due in November. I applied again hoping i get through. can anyone offer any advice on the situation.

It's fairly difficult for someone in your situation to obtain a tourist visa / visitor visa. These visas are granted to people who only have plans to visit Canada temporarily. Since you have a wife in Canada and a baby on the way, you have very strong ties to Canada and CIC is assuming that you have plans to remain in Canada long term. To be approved for a visit visa, you must prove that you have strong ties to your home country, that you will leave at the end of your stay and that you have no plans to remain in Canada long term. I think it's going to be very difficult for you to prove this given your situation. However if you think you can and if there's evidence that you did not include in the first application - then by all means give it another try.

Unfortunately there's a very good chance you won't be able to come to Canada for the birth of your child.

So cic believes that i will be illegal in the country by overstaying my visit....
due to my wife being pregnant she is currently umemployed but supported by her mother father and sister who are working.
If we apply for spousal sponsorship for the future will that make our application denied if she still is unemployed..
as well as if the baby is born in my country will she receive any benefits that children born in canada receive
thanks for the info so far

Since her family members work, perhaps they can write sworn affidavit saying they will financially support you during your visit. For now, just focus on getting the visitor visa and being here for the birth of your child. If you start worrying about sponsorship right now, you will seem like you are in this relationship to get Permanent Residence in Canada. Sadly, too many foreigners have done that in the past, and that makes this process more difficult right now.

Good Luck.
