Temporary Resident Visa

Hello, so I am an international student in Vancouver and my TRV has expired although I have a valid study permit. I am planning to fly back to my country in a month. Do I need to extend my TRV and if so, should I do it while I’m here or when I’m back home because I might leave before I receive the visa. Thanks !

You cannot extend a TRV. You can only apply for a new one.

You're either applying for one from Vancouver or from home. If you don't get a visa in your passport, you cannot return to Canada. Doesn't matter where you apply.
