Hi there... I know this topic is a little outside the scope of this forum, but i figured that it never hurts to ask....
I am a canadian with a common law spouce ( 2 years) who has lived in Canada for almost 9 years (She has a little one 5 as well). Recently her mother (who is Estonian - living in England) applied to come to Canada for a visit (approx 2 months). She was turned down since she owns no land in England (so they suspect she will not return). We had sent her the "invitation" as well. She also has 2 other daughters, a grandchild and is married in England. Yet still she was denied. I find it hard to beleive that her mother is "not allowed" to visit when she has immediate family back in England as well. It is just relally important to my spouse as she has not seen her mother in 5 years.
Does anyone have any suggestions on "additional" steps we could take to improve the application possibilities?
