Hi,

I have a question regarding tourist visa and it's eligibility given COVID scenario.

I (Indian Citizen) recently got married and my spouse is a Canadian PR holder. We are contemplating dependant PR application, however due to the covid scenario the timelines are not favourable. We are looking at getting any kind of visa which would be the fastest.

As per the eligibility criteria will I, the spouse of PR holder, be eligible to apply for temporary residence permit / tourist visa? And any idea on the processing time required for the same?

Appreciate your response.

If an Indian applies for a tourist visa now to visit and stay in Canada temporarily, will it be even considered basis grounds that one needs to reunite with the spouse?

Any help / advise on this is much appreciated.

You need to convince them that you will return to home country once visa validity over. And thats upto you how you convince them.
