Hi guys, my friend is applying for her Canadian citizenship, one of the pages in the application you need to put the date of all the temporary permits you had in the past with "Date your status was obtained/effective) as well as "Date your status expired". The part that is confusing her is that in 2015 she had a work permit expiring June 07 2015, she did apply for a renewal before it expired but received the new work permit with starting date of Aug 26 2015. Technically when you apply for renewal, as long as you apply before your current one expires then you are fine, since your current one extends till there is a decision on the renewal. But on the application is shows as if there was a 2 and half months gap between status of the old and new work permit, old one ending June 07 2015 and new one starting Aug 26 2015. It should be clear to CIC and if there is any issues its CIC they can check all this information in their system, but my friend is still a little worried, does anyone have any experience with this or have any information at all that can help?
