I am working in BC, Canada on Temp work permit which expires around July 15 2011. I had applied for Canadian PR form US which was transferred to Buffalo, NY and currently is "In Process".
When I applied for work permit I did not need a letter from HRSDC as my job was in one of the LMO exempt categories - IT specialist. The process is extended for BC till September 30, 2011.
So when I apply for the work permit extension (hoping it is approved) will CIC grant me only till Sept 30, 2011 when the program expires? Does my employer needs to get an LMO to extend my temp work permit beyond Sept 30, 2011?
Please give me some input if you have any idea!
