Temp file # question...

Was talking with a friend, and we were discussing returned apps. Do returned apps keep the same temp file # or get another one after it has been resent?

only applications that have been entered into IRCC system will have file number.

Shortly after receiving the application, there is a temp file given. it starts "XF........." It is then assigned to an officer, who deems the file to be complete, and continues to start processing (therefore giving aor). The x is dropped, and it becomes the actual file #.
What I am asking, if you recieved a temp file # on your app, and it is returned, after sending it back with the missing info, do you keep the same temp file # or is a new one issued.

any temp file number is irrelevant......what matters is the AOR and file number in AOR

The temp file # can be used to access the automated line to find out info, also to check ecas. I prefer using the automated line, so to me, I like having it, and not irrelevant to me.
