TEER 4- Low Skilled Closed Work Permit Foreign Worker Applying for Spousal Permit

Hi everyone!

With the recent announcement from Canada Immigration (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio..._m1ivjM2b253aDD3tzrdjeqSlZbWdbgaN4aoBuKg5l2nc) that All LOW SKILLED WORKER can now apply for spousal permit, I'll be applying for Spousal Permit (open work permit) for my wife. I hope someone who experienced the same or have knowledge will answer my inquiries.

1. What do you mean by low wage stream? i read that low wage stream is not eligible.
2. Should I use my GCKey account for my Wife's application?
3. Is there a document needed if i'm applying in behalf of my wife using my gckey account?
4. What are the requirements for the spousal permit application?

2. Should I use my GCKey account for my Wife's application? You can if you want or make her own GC Key
3. Is there a document needed if i'm applying in behalf of my wife using my gckey account? You need to make yourself her representative. Answer the questions on the questionnaire and the document checklist will populate accordingly.
4. What are the requirements for the spousal permit application? Spouse has to show own funds, justify purpose of visit and show strong home ties.
