I am a minor who was compelled to leave canada. My PR expired in 2013. I only went to canada for 2 weeks. But i want to return to canada and study there at the age of 17.5.
I have some questions after looking at the TD.
1- The First name on my green card is different than that of Passport.
2- What is "other names"?
3- The city i life in has no state/province, should i leave the blank empty?
4- What your permanent address in Canada? i Don't have one is it the one of the place ill live in when i go to uni?
5- In question 13-A? what do they mean?
6-I didn't live in Canada for 730 days, so should i skip questions 14, 15, 16, 17?
Please answer me with details ASAP
And thank you soon much Cheesy

Please help me
Sorry to let you know that you don't qualify for a travel document/returning resident permit for Canada. Based on the information you've given, you haven't met the residency obligations that are imposed on permanent residents.

You are still technically a permanent resident as the status doesn't expire in and of itself. But CIC officials will determine at the time of making an assessment on your petition for a travel document that you are no longer a PR and as a result, you will not be admitted to Canada as a landed immigrant.

Your only option is to apply for a study permit at a border upon securing admission at a Canadian university or college. Returning here as a PR might put you in a bit of a hot water as you no longer have the status per se.

Sorry, I know it is not the answer you are looking for but if you really want to live here permanently, then get your PR status relinquished, apply for a study permit, come here as a foreign student, get a work permit upon completing your post secondary education, and then apply for a PR status over again.

Best not to have multiple threads across different forums on this subject. The PR Residency Obligation section of the forum is covering this issue already.
