Does anyone know what to do if your spouse lives abroad and hasn't got PR status for Canada yet,if they have to file a Canadian tax return? Also is the Canadian spouse suppose to show the income of the spouse abroad?

Does the spouse has any Canadian source income (such as rental income)? If so, the spouse has to report this income and file non resident tax return every year to the CRA.

As for the Canadian spouse, if he/she is a tax resident of Canada, he/she suppose to show the income abroad.
