May I ask... Are you paying for your own tax? Isnt it the employers responsibility? Anyway, on my 1st employer, when I had my vacation, my employer didnt pay may tax bec. Thats less than a year after being employed when i had my vacation. So no work no pay. No pay no tax. Based on my contract, i will have only a paid vacation after a year of being employed. On that case, the employer will pay the tax on your vacation pay.
But my 2nd employer, paid my tax even if i had vacation less than a year of bei g employed because its a paid vacation. FYI, all vacation time that has no tax is NOT counted on the computation of the required 24months to apply for PR.

1. Assuming it is a paid vacation, then you employer still has to remit the taxes.
