TAX RECEIPT and spousal sponsorship

Hi All,

I was originally planning to submit spousal sponsorship application right after marriage, but I was informed that:

1) better wait for a year before submission
2) better get the tax receipt ( claimed tax as couple) before submission

Can anyone please tell me if this is correct or not? Thank you!

thanks for your reply. im wondering wouldn't it be better to show the tax receipt to the gvm?
