Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
LANDED..........
Yep...
Hi
OK here is the situation. First thing, I am goof when it comes to tech accounting/tax terms, so please keep it in English :)

I landed in Canada in Feb and came back after a week. Now I will be moving back to NS in coming months, as a Full Time Masters student.

I am going to transfer some funds that I will get from quitting my job, selling my car etc etc. That would be transferred to Canada, I declared Proof of funds when entering Canada around 20K. Used most of it during stay of 2 months in Canada/USA, I know I know, we were not planning to go back for a couple of years.
Anyways now the funds I will transfer are not earned, rather are savings, but, never mentioned in the Proof of funds, as was not required/accepted.

Please guide me as I cannot find an answer to this situation. I read, and it mentions that you are obligated to Pay tax if you are in Canada for a specific number of time, and the money made is in Canada.

Question is;
What are my Tax obligation and when do they start.

And As a student what benefits do I get regarding Taxes etc if any

I will be jobless, most certainly (at least for sometime), or doing 10-12 hours/week, how does it effect the Tax paying etc

THANKS

Hi, devilhimselff,

1. You have to file your tax before April, 2013, any professional accountant can do it for you.
2. Keep all invoices of tuition fees, textbook etc.. university will issue T22 form for tax return purpose.
3.For further information please Visit following link.
