Hi,

If I was to be working in Canada remotely for my EU based company and also working part time for a canadian based company is it safe to say each job can be taxed in their resident countries?

I am a UK citizen working for UK IT company an I get paid into my UK account and taxed by UK laws on that pay. If I was to get an additional job in Canada and get paid into a canadian bank account and be taxed by Canadian laws is this okay/legal?

thanks for any replies :)

It's legal, if you have legal work permit/status in Canada to work for the Canadian company.

If you are resident in Canada, you will need to declare worldwide income, but will also be entitled to offset the UK tax on your CRA return.

Thank you very much but this is all over my head, will need to speak with an accountant me thinks! :o

Hi Jamie

Are you an employee of the company or an independent contractor? It would make a difference for tax purposes as you may not even be taxable in the UK.
