Hello, I have completed my masters in statistics (completed in 2020) and I would like to pursue my future in Canada. So I have been oscillating between whether to work with my masters degree acquired from India or should I study a course/degree relevant to my masters and then work in canada

This is just my opinion, I think in the current time it is best to get a job in your home country. Even students are now disallowed to Canada because of the pandemic. Several approved PRs are awaiting to land, but the borders are very strict unless you have an immediate relative in Canada. Borders have been closed for 15 months and not sure when they will open.

If you have no one Canada, you can continue strengthening your experience while waiting for the FSW / PNP outland draws to open and save up for Canada. When the pandemic situation gets better Canada will surely have FSW Outland draws and you can apply for PR in Canada. Pls concentrate on getting work experience as this will help you career and eventual move to Canada. Don't drop your Canadian dream, but do priorities your career as it is the only thing that you will have if other things don't pan out.
