Taking IELTS class on a work visa?

Hi, just wondering does anyone know if one can take IELTS class on a work permit? the course is 40hr in total. Because I know on the work permit it stress "Unless authorized, must not attend any educational institution or take any academic, professional or vocational training course"
So I am really not sure about if IELTS class count in as one, since I am tinking to using it to improve my IELTS score.
Also wondering if anyone knows does the French language course is prohibited also?

Part time English/French course is fine.
