Hi. I would just like to have some opinion. I just did my landing and im planning to have my vacation this december for only 4 weeks. My, question is that can I travel without the card? What are the process or steps to do when coming back. I notice in my oassport the visa is only for a SINGLE entry.

Thanks so much for any inputs..

Do you hold a visa exempt or non visa exempt passport?

Then you really have two options:

1) Have someone in Canada send you your PR card once it's ready and then return.
2) Apply for a travel document once you are outside of Canada. You can return to Canada once the travel document has been approved and issued to you.

Check the TD processing times at the visa post you will be making the application...you may find these exceed 4 weeks and you may be unable to return in time. Some visa posts will accept applications while you are in Canada but won't finalize until you show up in the relevant country and hand over your passport for the TD to be endorsed.
