Take rental car one way from USA to Canada

I am on a non-resident visa in the USA and will be moving to Canada on a Study Permit.

I would like to know if I can take a rental car from Indiana, USA to Toronto, Canada? I will return the rental car in Canada. Should I expect any charges (duty fees etc)?
What paperwork do I need?
Any other important points to consider?
