i want to know if i am travelling by myself initially,my wife has to sort some things out,can i take like $10k with me then she brings the rest when coming over later?will this raise an eyebrow at the POE?

you have to show settlement funds for all your family members whether accompanying you or not? your spouse can land later and she doesn't need to carry any settlement funds.
