Hey guys, I'm just inside the EE pool and crossing fingers for the PT. (FSW, 430)

Since it's now very likely that promising candidates with PT may join the OOPNP and the rest (whether with high or lower scores) stay and wait. what is your thought on this situation?

Will OOPNP process faster than EE?

What is your thoughts on the next round of draws? Will the OOPNP affect the EE draws?

Completely personal decision. Depends on multiple factors including how confident are you of landing an ITA without the additional 600 points and whether those 600 points are worth 1500 CAD for you personally.

Will OOPNP process faster than EE?

OOPNP is a subset of EE so it will naturally be slower than if you had received an FSWP/CEC based ITA this weekend instead of OOPNP. Simply put, this will add at least another 3 months to your timeline and that is assuming they accept your documents and grant you the PN thereby giving you 600 additional points. Hope this clears the air on faster/slower than EE.

What is your thoughts on the next round of draws? Will the OOPNP affect the EE draws?

Of course it will. Because OOPNP will add nearly 2700 applicants having 400+ score from the mail draw over the coming 3-6 months. Remember that so far, over 5 months, there have been hardly 10,000 ITAs issued and the lowest score was 453. Depending on it's speed, OOPNP will impact the future draws by keeping the CRS cutoff higher. But that's just my guess.

I agree that Ontario PNP will likely to be slower. Ontario PNP will likely take more than 3 months. When busy it took them 5-6 months. And then you need to wait for the next draw and CIC has the processing time of around 3 months at least.

from my understanding, if someone gets a PNP, the 600 points will be added to their profile and immediately (relative, of course) gets an ITA. Nothing mentioned they have to wait for a draw...unless I'm wrong.

Did you guys have link where it is written that if you apply for ontario nomination then you will be out of pool..its mentioned in invitation letter that after you accept nomination, you won't be able to apply under any federal stream. You have to go through pnp stream. Pls provide me any official link if I m wrong. Thanks

Probably no official statement in on the website yet. You can follow up on the update.
Surely you cannot expect two VOs working on your scores at the same time, right?

Not until if you apply for it. Now the best action is to wait and see.

you'll get the 600 points added (after a 3 month approx processing time of the PNP application), but everyone still has to wait for a draw. People with LMIA's and PNP's from other provinces had to wait to be officially drawn out. Ontario doesn't get special treatment that way.

dear actually it is a bit confusing coz the way cic is making its draw seems it will take another 6 months to scores to come down.

I think it is a good option, but 400 is a minimum, can any one suggest for scores around 350, is there any prospective PNP program?

I think it depends on your ties to Ontario (or any other province you might apply to). I've heard of people being turned down from NS because they didn't have any real ties. Provinces are very aware than once you have PR you can live anywhere you want, so they won't give PNP unless they're sure you're going to live there. If you don't have any real ties to Ontario it might be worth saving your time and money.

Hi

I have received a invitation for OOPNP. Below is the background

CRS 412
NOC - 0601 (Corporate acct Manager)
No Relatives/ Connection with Ontario/ No job offers currently

What i understand is once the person accepts the invitation along with the form and the non refundable fee , Ontario would evaluate his profile and if they find it suitable and meeting the required criteria, 600 pts would be added to the CRS.

I had a few questions:

1)What would be the steps after that? As they are looking for a specific nbr under OOPNP.

2)Would there be a seperate express entry draw for Ontario with all those profiles who were accepted by oopnp (i.e. the other folks with 600 pts credited via OOPNP ?

3)Since my CRS isnt so high for normal Express entry. However i dont hv any job offers or personal relationships in Ontario. Looking at the nbr of people they r going to chose in OOPNp, what should be done? Should i accept the invitation or wait

2700 out of 5200 for the year from EE

No separate draw. As and when someone gets the additional points, they are eligible for an ITA in the immediately following draw.

3)Since my CRS isnt so high for normal Express entry. However i dont hv any job offers or personal relationships in Ontario. Looking at the nbr of people they r going to chose in OOPNp, what should be done? Should i accept the invitation or wait

It is a personal decision and a gamble of 1500 CAD. But also remember they have to select 2700 people to nominate and so far they have selected 0. There is a lot of chance to get in now because these are early days.

for 2-3 months until Ontario start sending PNP nominations there is some hope of score coming down to 400's. I think after PNP's the score will remain high.. as Ontario, NB, Saskatchewan and other provinces has started their PNP.

for Ontario, if you can show ties to Ontario, it might be worth taking a chance with 1500$.

i am just guessing.. not spreading rumors. I am also in 400s and applying outside Canada.I am little hesitant to apply to OOPNP as i have no ties to Ontario.. I will wait for couple of draws to see what it gonna look like.
